Thankful for Books

Thankful for books

November is the season of gratitude, and as the leaves crunch underfoot and pumpkin spice fills the air, I’ve been reflecting on what I’m thankful for this year. At the very top of my list? Books and readers like you who love them as much as I do.

Books I’m Thankful For This Year

Every book I read (and write!) feels like a companion through the seasons of life. A few that stand out for me in 2025:

  • Agatha Christie mysteries → Part of my personal goal this year has been to read through her entire collection. I’ve mostly finished all the Poirot stories. I think Ms. Marple will be my companion in the new year. From Poirot’s clever deductions to Miss Marple’s sharp observations, I’ve been inspired by how timeless and comforting these mysteries are.

  • Holiday romances → There’s something magical about revisiting favorite Christmas reads that feel like old friends, especially when paired with a cozy blanket and a mug of tea.

  • My own stories → Launching Christmas at Starlight Lake this fall reminded me how grateful I am to share the worlds and characters in my head with you, my readers.

Cozy Reads for a Cozy Season

If you’re looking for something to curl up with this November, here are a few of my own stories that pair perfectly with a blanket and a hot drink:

A Heartfelt Thank You

Writing full-time is a joy, but sharing my stories with readers is the real gift. Thank you for your enthusiasm, your reviews, your messages, and your support. It means the world to me.
