Behind the Scenes of the Cupid’s Coffeeshop Relaunch

Blog header with Cupid’s Coffeeshop Covers

When I first launched the Cupid’s Coffeeshop series in 2016, I never imagined how much love it would receive from readers, from fellow writers, and, honestly, from me. This dozen-book series about the Lockhart siblings (and their cousin!) taking over a small-town coffee shop one month at a time was a true writing joy. It also came during a whirlwind season of life, and while I adored it, I always knew I wanted to come back and give it a little polish.

So here in 2025, we have fresh covers, a revised tone, and a whole latte love.

Why Relaunch Now?

In truth, the heart of this series never changed. But my writing has. My voice has grown stronger, my vision for Ashford Falls has expanded (I have two more series set in Ashford Falls planned), and most of all, I’ve come home to the kind of stories I most want to tell.

In this new edition, I’ve softened the heat level to embrace the sweet romance genre I love. These stories still have the chemistry, the banter, the butterflies, but now they close the bedroom door and focus on the emotional heart of the happily ever after.

If you read the originals, thank you! And if you’re new to the series, now’s the perfect time to start.

Where to begin?

The series is available in two beautiful new volumes:

  • The Sweetheart Blend Volume One: Java Frost through Berries and Cream Chai

  • The Sweetheart Blend Volume Two: Fireworks Frappe through Cup of Joy

Each book can stand alone, but reading them in order lets you experience the full charm of Ashford Falls—and watch the characters fall in love one cup at a time.

Let’s Keep in Touch

Have questions about the relaunch? Are you Team Joe or Team Patrick? Let me know in the comments, or better yet, join my newsletter and get a free short story set in the world of Ashford Falls: Love Letters to Cupid.

Thanks for being here. I can’t wait to share what’s next.

With love & lattes,
Courtney
